One Step Design. No Cover Needed.
UNIQUE NEW DESIGN. ORGANIC COTTON SOFTNESS.
Nature’s Child™ Nappy is a one piece design making this the most natural, convenient and cost effective Nappy you can choose for your baby.
Parents identify four major issues when choosing a Nappy.
1 - It must be convenient and easy to use
2 - It must be cost effective
3 - It must be a healthy choice for your baby
4 - It must be a healthy choice for our environment.
The Nature’s Child™ Nappy has been designed with these 4 primary issues in mind. Created in Byron Bay, Australia.
Designed by Jannine Barron, this nappy is the result of 10 years of research.
After researching nappy use with parents all over the world, Jannine has combined the best of everything to make this an easy to use, cost effective nappy. And to top off a great design, its made with certified organic cotton!
When you look at the price, remember, there is no need to buy extra covers with this nappy. We have built it in for you. Although we do recommend a wool cover at night time. See your retailer for these.
This means, that instead of having a synthetic nappy cover on the outside next to your skin (which just doesn't feel very nice) we have sandwiched the waterproof layer in between two soft layers of pure organic cotton.
Features of the Nature's Nappy:
THE ALL-IN-ONE DESIGN MEANS YOU PICK UP AND USE ONE PIECE! NOT A NAPPY FOLLOWED BY A COVER. BUT A NAPPY AND A COVER IN ONE!
1. The interior is made from 100% certified organic brushed flannelette. Super-soft!
2. The exterior is made from 100% certified organic rib stretch. Soft and smart looking.
3. The waterproof layer is breathable nylon.
4. The leak guards are a key feature for the success of this nappy. The soft elasticized legs ensure a comfortable fit. They contain the big accidents and allow for a snug fit on your baby from the first days.
5. The booster pad is held firmly inside the nappy with Velcro. This flexible design allows you to remove the nappy pad and replace it with a fresh one should your baby only have a small bowel movement.
Should the whole nappy need washing, simply replace the whole nappy with a fresh one.
Some babies wee or poo heavier than others. You may need to use an extra cover at night times. This will not apply to all babies. If you do need one, we highly recommend a Woolen nappy cover.
Did you notice that we only use Natural Fibres next to your babies skin? This is the Nature’s Child™ Difference.
WHICH SIZE DO YOU NEED?
There are two sizes of Nature’s Child™ Nappies. No two babies are the same so please use this information as a guideline only and ask us for assistance if you are unsure.
Size 1 fits from newborn until 10kg or a bit more. We've had a small 18 month old in this nappy so if your baby is toilet trained early, you will only ever need one size of nappy. Because a newborn baby is VERY small for the first few weeks, and some babies are smaller than others, the Nature’s Child™ nappy will seem too big in the first weeks. We have created a way for our nappy to fit snug on your baby straight away by using the “roll down” method. You still get a really neat and snug fit with this method. See the movie clip enclosed! By 6 weeks, this nappy is fitting snug on most newborn babies without the rolldown.
We have many newborns wear this nappy beautifully from day 1 using the fold down method mentioned above. Its a quick and simple technique that you will quickly master.
Some babies grow into that lovely, cuddly cherub shape and have edible thighs! If this is your baby, you can purchase a size 2 nappy as young as 4-6 months old. It won't be too big and will give you great value. Look at your baby's weight to purchase accurately. Others may use a Size 2 at 9 months or not until 18 months. There really is a lot of variation in baby’s body sizes so please use our recommendations as a guideline only.
There will be some babies that have thighs cuddlier than what our nappy can allow for. Please phone our staff if you are unsure. Or only purchase one nappy to check the fit first.
Once you receive the nappy, if you feel the size is too big or too small. Simply return the nappy unused for a replacement size.
Size 2 is designed to fit 10 - 18kg. Weight is not always an accurate measure however. Size 2 is usually suitable if you are buying from 10 months and beyond but should be considered for your cherub if you are looking at cloth nappies for the first time from 4 months onwards.
Size 2 makes a great training pant as well if you have been using disposable nappies until now. Cloth Nappies DO help your baby move out of nappies and the Nature’s Child™ Design ensures an easy transition from disposable to cloth as they are so similar to use.
Remember, Nature’s Child™ nappies have a built in waterproof layer so they are sufficient in themselves. For heavy wetters, we do recommend a wool cover or using a Nature’s Child™ Dri-Liner to keep baby's skin dry.
