Dear Suzi and Sue

Just a note to say thankyou so much for your 1 day antenatal class that myself and Justin attended in February, we were both a bit nervous about the whole baby thing as the big arrival date got close as we had so many questions that we didn't know the answer to. After our day with you we were so much more at ease as you both answered all our questions with ease and explained everything in detail ,it was then we were able to relax and enjoy the last month before our bundle arrived.

We really liked the fact that we were able to come and do the whole class in one day rather than going every week for a hour, the thought of that after a day at work just wasn't what i needed being 8mths pregnant.

The food was fantastic and the little prizes you gave out made the day fun as with prizes it makes you wont to answer questions and get involved.

I was ecstatic when the big day arrived and i was lucky enough to have sue as a midwife im my labour. I felt like i had a friend with me the whole time.

I've recommended your class to every pregnant lady i know and they all say the same thing.

thank you again , and ive attached some photos of our beautiful baby girl Tj

Dear Mum’s and Dad’s to be…

When I fell pregnant the amount of advice and opinions Steve and I received about labour and the birth process was overwhelming (as I’m sure you are pretty well aware of). We received good advice and we
also received some very interesting advice of what we should or should not do. It became evident that people have a different idea, expectations and experience of labour. Whilst this is normal for any
couple it became pretty tiresome. After many stories, the whole labour and birth process can seem pretty daunting. So we were so relieved and felt prepared about the labour/birth process after the 1-day Stork,
Baby and You antenatal class.

We found the approach of the antenatal class of Stork, Baby and You refreshing. Aussie Sue and Kiwi Sue created a calm and relaxed atmosphere with comfy beanbags and exercise balls to ensure mothers-to-
be (or anyone else in attendance) were comfortable throughout the entire day. (The yummy food also helped).

As practising midwives Aussie Sue and Kiwi Sue provided a very informative, friendly and practical class about the labour/birth process and the first weeks as parents. They provided practical
advice about possible scenarios that may arise when you are in labour and this information enabled us to feel comfortable about the upcoming labour and partly prepared for any possible situations that could
arise throughout the birth process. This information also enabled us to be aware of current hospital practices and policies, which was helpful to know when we should go into the hospital and what to expect during and after labour. Their passion to inform, encourage and involve support persons about the birthing process was overwhelming. After the class, Steve felt so confident, relaxed and proud to be part of such a life changing experience. It became evident that their depth of knowledge about the labour, birth process and dealing with newborns confirmed their combined 50 years of experience as midwives.

By the end of the class, Steve and I felt very confident, comfortable and reassured about the upcoming labour, birthing process and dealing with our newborn after the 1-day class. We were so grateful for the informative and relaxed class and fabulous information packs (which is handy for any mother-to-be as it is hard to absorb so much information in 1 day) containing information on labour, breastfeeding, newborn behaviour and dealing with babies (I still refer to this on occasion!!).

Thank you so much Aussie Sue and Kiwi Sue for such an informative, friendly and relaxed class. Stork, Baby and You exceeded our expectations and I would have no trouble recommending you to any parents-to-be.

Cheers

Dear Sue
Thank you so much for lending James and I your DVD on being a dad. It was fantastic. James and I had lots of laughs and especially enjoyed the second half of the DVD.
Once again, your class was great and very helpful. The certificate was a beautiful surprise. Even though James and I have been together for 5 years and have a wonderful relationship, we both felt that your class brought us even closer (the m&m game was great).
A very Big Thank You.
Hopefully, you will be working when our littel one is due in February.

My husband and I attended the Stork Baby & You Birthing and Parenting class when I ws 29 weeks pregnant in 2006. We liked the idea of covering everything over a one day full class rather than over 6 weeks in the evening so I called Sue on the recommendation from Tweed Hospital Antenatal Clinic.
The one day course run by Sue Watson and Sue Butler far exceeded our expectations and we came away feeling reassured that whatever happened during the labour and birthing process everything would be ok and that we were in very good hands.
Everything that we had questions about or were concerned about was covered in a very comprehensive and friendly manner and with the attendee participation it made it very easy to remember which was crucial for when the time came to put it all into practice!
We would thoroughly recommend doing a class with Stork baby & You. Sue and Sue are just wonderful, making it a very enjoyable day and also helping to alleviate nervousness about childbirth. It certainly made a difference to my birthing experience. Thanks Sue and Sue

Hi to the two Sue's!
Its Danielle Barends here. Clint and I came to your antenatal day on the 16th of September and wanted to thank you so much for a wonderful day. It was very informative, friendly and relaxed. We both left feeling very positive about labour and the soon arrival of our baby. You both are very passionate about your careers which was greatly reflected on the day. Thank you for our certificate, the photo of the group and our thank you card. It helped to make it a very personal experience. Our baby is due in two more weeks so we might see the both of you then.
Thank you once again and we will recommend your lcass to everyone in the future.

Dear Mums & Dads to be,

My husband Jason & I were expecting the arrival of our precious daughter ’Ella’, due 20th February 2007. It was my first time as a mum, even though Jase had 2 girls aged 10 & 13 years it had been some time since he had to care for a newborn, he felt a bit ‘rusty’ so we wanted to get some hands on learning for our birthing class. As we both work full time & lead very busy lives we needed to do a birth class in one day.

So we decided to attend the ‘Stork baby U’ day on 13th January 2007, we wanted some real advise, expert opinion & above all else some FUN!

Needless to say we were not disappointed, the day was filled with practical tips & shared experiences, the information given was very interesting & informative. No question was considered too silly, which was great for me as I had a few! We were made to feel relaxed the minute you walked in, mums could either sit on a chair or in a comfy bean bag, which was lovely.

The day was also very entertaining, the ‘Sue’s’ don’t miss a chance to entertain, even by getting on all ‘four’s to demonstrate some comfortable labor positions, there were many laughs shared! I really liked how the ‘guy’s were included & they enjoyed it as much as the girls.

The morning & afternoon Tea breaks were just long enough & they provided very fresh & yummy beverages & snacks. Lunch was even better, plenty to go round & loads of seating so you could move around & ‘chat’ to other expecting parents. We are still in contact with 3 other couples from our group, it is so great to meet people going thought similar things that you are!

All in all I would not hesitate recommending expecting parents to go along for the ‘Stork Baby U’ birth class day, in fact I have given the e-mail address to a friend of mine who is also expecting her first.

We wish all of you every happiness, joy & luck with your baby’s. Hope you enjoy the ‘Stork Baby U’ experience as much as we did. Having a baby, is as they say the most unbelievable & life changing experience you will ever have enjoy every precious moment – even the sleep deprived ones!
Cheers Marnie & Jason Tyler & our bub’s ‘Ella’

My name is Jessica Jantzen and I have just completed the one day 'Stork Baby and You' class and found it absolutely FANTASTIC!

My partner Paul and I came away from this class so much more confident with all the information we both absorbed. The day was relaxed, stress-free, undistrubed, calm and you could lie on the floor in a bean bag or my favourite was sitting and rolling all day on one of the balls which ws so comfortable. Aussie Sue and Kiwi Sue never at any stage looked rushed or hurried or not interested with you constantly throwing questions at them left right and centre. They were always alert with you even if you threw a question in there mid sentence both would stop quickly, listen and answer this with so much information you end up forgetting what you asked in the first place.

The morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea I must say was a fabulous spread. I could not even fit in afternoon tea there was so much to choose from.

Anything and everything you need to know you will find in this class. There are a mountain of books to look through, pamphlets to take away and a photo album of all the other classes they have attended. There are pictures all around the room regarding birth which is great for the guys, and I can say without a doubt that Paul came away more interested in our pregnancy now that he understands it a whole lot more and brings us to being a lot more excited than ever in having our first bubba.

I highly recommend this one day class and guarantee you will come away with a bounce in your step...(if you can still bounce that is).
